Kinesiology, and the way it is practiced today, finds itself at the meeting point of several important medical and scientific perspectives. It forms the bridge between the understanding and practice of two seemingly vastly different perspectives on health and science. East meets West – Kinesiology forms a bridge between the 5,000 year old, energy-based Eastern medical practices of Asia and the more recent clinical, methodical and physical based practices of Western Nations. These two vastly different perspectives on human health and well-being find common ground within kinesiology through the understanding that both perspectives hold validity and together form a vastly more holistic perspective on the nature of human health.
